The Arkansas Razorbacks are excited to announce that defender Makenna Vacha has committed to the University of Arkansas for the 2026-27 season. Vacha comes to Arkansas from Troy, MO and the St. Louis AAA Lady Blues program. She will be pursuing a degree in Radiation and Sonography.

Vacha chose Arkansas after seeing the campus and how inviting everyone was. Kenna said she got started in hockey watching her brothers play and always being around the rink. She served as an assistant captain for her AAA Lady Blues team last season and currently plays for her high school team, Francis Howell Central. Vacha previously played for the Chesterfield Falcons program on both boys and girls teams.

The University of Arkansas Women’s Hockey team plays in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The 2025-26 season will be the team’s second season as a member of the ACHA competing in Division II. The team’s schedule can be viewed here. All home games are played at The Jones Center for Families in Springdale, AR.
